Indian documentary short film on menstruation bags Oscar.

Period. End of Sentences an Indian-set film with an Indian executive producer, Guneet Monga bagged an Academy Award for the Best Documentary Short Subject award. Set in Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur, the short film, based on taboos revolving around menstruation, has been directed by Iranian American filmmaker Rayka Zehtabchi.
