Carbondale, Paris and Brazil based studio designed the latest retail store of Dolce and Gabbana in Rome. The store’s most opulent décor details are in the room on the first floor, which offers a contemporary twist on the city’s rich Baroque heritage, a digital fresco design that had no fear that the architecture would overpower the products. The fresco by Paul Troger brings Athena and Hercules to life, engulfed in billowing dark clouds of thunder and lightening that slowly give path to rising sun.
