Mind the gap at the Tintagel Castle Bridge.

Reconnecting the two sides of a medieval ruin in Cornwall, the Tintagel Castle Bridge is a 190 meter cantilevered footbridge. The interesting aspect of the design seems to be the middle span where the two 30 meter cantilevers meet with a 40- millimeter gap. Although the original bridge was lost in the 15^th century, the architects and engineers used the same material for the new construction that is slate but used it so as to give a modern touch”
