Landscape artist Christo has revealed a new project for Paris: he will shroud one of the City of Light’s most memorable landmarks, the Arc de Triomphe. Christo plans to wrap the Arc de Triomphe in 25,000 square meters of silvery blue polypropylene fabric.
The temporary public artwork, entitled ‘l’Arc De Triomphe, wrapped will remain on view for two weeks, from Monday, April 6, to Sunday, April 19, 2020. Christo has illustrated the anticipated result in a series of drawings and photographs overlaid with pencil, wax crayon and enamel paint.
