In her latest work, Kara Walker pays tribute to the famous American novelist Toni Morrison who died last week at the age of 88. Titled as ‘Quiet as It’s Kept’, The portrait of Morrison will be featured on the cover of New Yorker, next week. Toni, who won Nobel Prize in Literature in 1993, is an African American Novelist and author of 11 books. Apart from this, New Yorker art editor said that Toni holds a special place in American culture and thus she should be memorialized.
