The world is at crossroads. The amount of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere is increasing at an alarming rate which is creating ever-rising temperatures and extreme weather patterns. The answer to our problem is the Salk Institute’s Harnessing Plant Initiative, an unfamiliar, scalable and bold approach to fight climate by optimizing a plant’s natural ability to capture and store carbon and adapt to diverse climate conditions.
