Colossal wooden clad arches welcome the students of the Temple University in Philadelphia into the Charles Library. Featuring a composite volume with granite at the base topped with an entire glass volume, the building has three different expansive arched entrances nestled between business and engineering schools. All three entrances are done in wood from inside in order to create a sense of stone cut volumes. Replacing the former Paley library of the university, Charles Library is designed to accommodate the students and a large amount of books.
