Praksis Arkitekter was chosen as the winner of the competition to design the new visitor centre for the Stevns Klint UNESCO World Heritage site in Denmark along with Kristine Jensen Landscape and Henry Jensen engineers. Stevns Klint was named as the World Heritage in 2014 because it is the only site in the world with only remaining asteroid traces since 66 million years ago with 50% of extinct life. The visitor centre is designed so as to make the integration into the geological site as visitors move from the site to the sea. The site location in the limestone quarry provides direct access to the sea and the landscape.
