To mark the bicentennial of the famous company Thonet, in the forma an exhibition named ‘Bentwood and Beyond- Thonet and the modern furniture design’ which highlights the entire history of the company from the first half of the century to up till today. Emerging as the trendsetters of the 19th century, the innovative Bentwood furniture from Michael Thonet was the most successful brands of the time. The exhibition comes out as a narrative of the company’s transformation from using manual methods of craftsmanship to mass production.
