Kirkby Designs creates a collection inspired by London Underground

Underground Vol. II is a series of fabrics designed by Kirkby Designs in collaboration with the Transport for London. The collection has recreated moquette designs that once featured in the London Undergrounds. Moquette is a hardwearing woollen fabric, first designed for being used in the tube system and was later used for home furnishings when it became immensely popular. Kirkby designs went through a lot of London Transport Museum archives to adapt the scale and colour of the conventional designs.
