IKEA has come up with this new range of homeware made out of rice straw, which otherwise is a harvesting residue burnt down by farmers to make way for new crops. It produces air pollution and aggravates smog causing problems for masses. Delhi being one of the most polluted cities in the world, IKEA with the collaboration of rice collectors wants to contribute in reducing the menace pan India and soon worldwide.
