Babyn Yar memorial to be designed by Austrian Bureau

Austrian Architecture Bureau, Querkraft Architekten and landscape architect Kieran Fraser Landscape Design has been selected as the winning proposal for the future Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Centre to be constructed in Kyiv, Ukraine. First of its kind in eastern Europe, the centre will be commemorating the holocaust site itself. The design proposal by the firms revolves around the basic individual perception of the visitor about the holocaust and makes the visitors undergo an experiential journey of the pain and danger surrounding the Holocaust victims.
