AMO amplifies shanghai silo with light installation for Prada show.

AMO has devised a light installation that seeks to amplify the industrial monumentality of Minsheng Wharf’s silo hall which was previously used as the storage. The building’s original character has been preserved as part of the installation titled ‘illuminated vista’ and includes arrangement of neon lights outlines the hall’s industrial form. The twisting quality of the chamber is extended with a linear catwalk carved through the longitudinal axis of the space where guests are arranged in the amphitheater of circular seats that mirror the shape of the silos above.
