Sasan Nasernia creates art solely out of calligraphy.

Sasan Nasernia, the Vancouver based artist who had started as a calligrapher and a typography artist has re-imagined the art of Persian and Arabic styled of calligraphy in the form of compositions. The deconstruction of the letters of ‘Kufic’ – the oldest form of calligraphy resulted in contemporary forms which led to being called as ‘Crazy Kufic’ by the artist. She has tested the ideas of fluidity and uncertainty which gave highly disfigured letters stretched incessantly across the space.
