Safdie Architects have announced an expansion to the Marina Bay Sands Resort in Singapore. The new stand-alone tower will contain more hotel rooms and take cues from the existing glass buildings, which were completed by Safdie Architects on Marina Bay in 2011. The ambition proposal will further include an entertainment district with a music arena seating up to 15,000 people.
Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry announced that a fourth tower will be constructed next to MBS as part of a larger SG$9 billion project.
