Michael Craig Martin, known for spanning line drawings, paintings, and sculptures of everyday objects, just launched a sculpture exhibition at Gagosian’s London outpost. The installations portray safety pins, headphones and corkscrews in bright vibrant colors which are crafted using powder-coated steel and appear like drawings in the air. Standing between three to four meters high, the installation allows to walk under and around the structures which are sunk into concrete floor and have an instant sensory, intellectual and emotional impact, to explore spatial relationships through the juxtaposition of color.
